This research proposal explores the integration of green spaces within Thompson Rivers University’s (TRU) indoor environments and their impact on student well-being. Research shows that exposure to green spaces enhances emotional and psychological health, reducing stress and improving cognitive function. TRU currently lacks sufficient indoor greenery in common areas, presenting an opportunity for positive change. This report explores evidence-based benefits, innovative approaches, and practical recommendations to enhance TRU’s learning environment through the strategic inclusion of green spaces.
